Welcome to Tuakau Health Centre
Due to a fire the practice has temporaraly moved to 49 and
5/53 George Street.
All services have resumed as normal.
We are a rural practice situated in the heart of
Franklin, approximately 50 minutes
South of Auckland.
Our practice started out 20 years ago as a solo GP practice situated a little
further
down George Street.
At the end of 2000 due to the growth of our practice, we moved into a brand new
modern, purpose built surgery which was larger and closer to the CBD of Tuakau.
We are a teaching practice.
We have 5 part time GP's. They are Dr Lorna Buhler and Dr Julia Lyons as co
directors, as well as Dr's Richard Hii, Young Lee, Erik Benjamins and
Cassandra Granek.
Our current registrar is Dr Hannah Walker who will be with us until
December 2011.They all provide a variety of patient centred services as well as
general
medical consultations. Each has his/her own special interest.
We offer a wide variety of services including general medical consultations,
minor surgical procedures, routine immunisations, travel immunisations, sexual
health (U22) clinics, women's health clinics, diabetic clinics, spirometry,
ECG's, Flinders clinics, diabetic retinal screening clinics, diabetic dietician
clinics and blood taking services.
We are currently accepting new patients.
